Tomini Shipping has signed an order with CIC (Jiangsu) shipyard for three new bulkers. Scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2019 the three 64,000 DWT ultramaxes meet the highest standards for fuel efficiency and environmental compliance.
The investment restates Tomini’s dedication to its core business of dry bulk shipping and follows the company’s delivery earlier this year of two vessels from CIC with another three ultramaxes from the yard due in January 2018. This order takes Tomini’s current fleet to 15 vessels.
“CIC has a solid reputation for delivering excellent quality bulkers, we look forward to taking delivery of these newbuildings which will enhance our existing portfolio” said Imtiaz Shaikh, Chairman of Tomini Group.
Tomini Shipping is the shipping subsidiary of Tomini Group, a diversified international business group. The Group’s other transportation interests include classic cars and plant machinery.
